Flurbiprofen Sodium is one of a series of phenylalkanoic acids that have shown analgesic, antipyretic and antiinflammatory activity. It is a water soluble drug. It is a Cox-2 inhibitor and inhibits the release of prostaglandin and hence it controls the inflammation. It has a least irritation amongst all the NSAIDs, drug of choice in pre &post-operative cases to inhibit the intra-operative miosis.

Mechanism of Action :
Gatifloxacin is a synthetic broad-spectrum antibacterial agent. The bactericidal action of Gatifloxacin results from inhibition of the enzymes topoisomerase II (DNA gyrase) and topoisomerase IV, which are required for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. Gatifloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria
Flurbiprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent (NSAIA) of the propionic acid class, Similar to other NSAIAs, the anti-inflammatory effect of flurbiprofen occurs via reversible inhibition of cyclooxygenase (COX), the enzyme responsible for the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandin G2 (PGG2) and PGG2 to prostaglandin H2 (PGH2) in the prostaglandin synthesis pathway. This effectively decreases the concentration of prostaglandins involved in inflammation
