Composition :
1 ml of the solution contains
Naphazoline Hydrochloride USP 0.1% w/v + Chlorpheniramine Maleate IP 0.01% w/v + Methyl Cellulose IP 0.2% w/v, Sterile Aqueous Solution q.s.
Description :
MNC Eye Drops is a combination of Naphazoline Hydrochloride, Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Methyl Cellulose used as an Anti-Allergic, Astringent and Decongestant.
Indications :
It is indicated for temporary relief of redness and discomfort due to minor eye irritations and relief of burning and irritation due to dryness of the eye.
Dosage and Administration :
Instil one or two drops in the affected eye(s) 3 times a day.
Contraindications :
It is contraindicated in patients with known history of hypersensitivity to the ingredients used in this formulations.
Warning and Precautions :
NOT FOR INJECTION.
To avoid contamination do not touch tip of container to any surface. Replace cap after using. If you experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation of the eye, or if the conditions worsens or persists for more than 72 hours, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Keep this and all drugs out of reach of children.
Adverse Effects :
Transient burning and stinging upon instillation and other minor symptoms of ocular.
CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY :
MNC acts as an anti-allergic, astringent & decongestant.
Naphazoline acts as a vasoconstrictor to narrow swollen blood vessels to reduce the redness.
Methyl cellulose acts as lubricant to give relief from dry irritated eyes.
Chlorpheniramine maleate acts as anti-allergic gives relief from itching, watering of eyes due to allergy.
Packaging :
10 ml round low density polyethylene bottle with a dispensing plug and white polypropylene screw cap containing 10 ml solution.
Storage Conditions :
In dry place protected from light at a temperature below 25°С. Do not freeze. After instillation the vial should be tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
Shelf-Life :
15 months after opening the vial it is suitable for use within 1 month.
Do not use after the expiration date stated on the package
