Description :
Flurbiprofen eye drops are commonly used to treat pain and swelling that may follow eye surgery, particularly when a steroid eye drop cannot be used.
HPMC in Flurin helps in lubricating the eyes along with medication.
Flurbiprofen belongs to a class of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Flurbiprofen works by blocking the production of a chemical in the body (prostaglandins).
Dosage instillation :
1drop 4 times a day
Inhibition of intra-operative miosis: Sometimes, the pupil of the eye gets smaller during an operation. This makes it more difficult for the surgeon to reach some areas of the eye. Some of these medicines are used to help prevent this.
One drop is instilled into the eye every 30 minutes beginning 2 hours before surgery. Prophylaxis and reduction of inflammation and associated symptoms following ocular surgery and post laser trabeculoplasty.
